In addition, after a long struggle maintaining a social media presence, I've decided to remove myself entirely from all platforms. I will miss the interactions and other fun and interesting moments, but I've never been very good at such things, being more of a solitary type who prefers to listen and watch from a distance. My "last stand" was on Mastodon, which has been a true eye-opener, a platform that showed me it's still very much possible to be online without the baggage of a centralized space. It's also from Mastodon where I rediscovered my affection for DIY site-building using some good old self-taught HTML, which eventually led to the creation of my recent static site, which I also unfortunately had to give up.
So for those of you who've kept up with me all these years since 2008, thank you so, so much for your dedication and especially your patience, slogging through my back list with all the highs and lows of my writing. It's absolutely humbling knowing someone out there is willing to take a chance on my books, and I'll forever be grateful to all of you. Thank you.
NEWEST RELEASE
My newest fairy tale re-imagining is now out! The Shadow Groom is based on the German fairy tale "The Story of the Youth Who Went Forth to Learn What Fear Was" (yowzers, I'll never get used to this title). It's a historical fantasy and a romantic comedy making full use of dry, dark humor (my favorite flavors of comedy) with a couple pretty young protagonists (aged as such for a very good reason: see link to the book's gallery page below) who are absolutely clueless about life, bless them
For some fun stuff on the book's "behind the scenes", go here for the gallery page.
The book is another long novella (or short novel, I suppose) that clocks in at 50K words and is available in e-book and print formats pretty much everywhere. For the book page with all the online store links at Books2Read, go here.
As always, thank you, everyone, for your support, and I really hope you enjoy the book.
RECENT RELEASE
And book number 10 in my Grotesqueries collection is finally out. It's a gothic horror / ghost story set in a fictional 19th century Europe, a dark historical fantasy that's not primarily a gay romance but does have gay romantic elements woven through the book. The book gallery page over here will give readers some insight as to what went on behind the scenes when I wrote this. The book is 50K-words long and is available in e-book for $0.99 and in print for $9.00 USD.
If you wish to support me directly, you can purchase the e-book from my Payhip store
For other online stores, go here for the book's Books2Read page.
